Please plan to participate in our Texas Chapter of American Public Works Association’s 2024 Public Workshop and Equipment Roadeo held February 5-6, 2024 at Wichita Falls Multi-purpose Events Center (MPEC). The theme this year is “Fall in Love with Public Works” which is a play on the city’s theme to“Fall in Love with the Falls”


Join over 300 public works professionals and your peers as we unveil the newest equipment and technologies and bring you valuable education tracks focused on public works issues.

A Special surprise...

We are excited to share that APWA President Gary Losier will be able to attend the Public Workshop & Equipment Roadeo!

W. Gary Losier P.Eng is the Director of Engineering and Works for the Town of Quispamsis, New Brunswick, and has served in that capacity since 1987. He oversees Public Works, Water and Wastewater, Building Inspection and By-law Enforcement as well as Engineering Services and Planning. He has provided leadership, expertise, and vision to ensure community safety and quality of life with a commitment to continuous improvement and staff development. Losier is currently President of APWA serving on the APWA National Board of Directors. He has been a member of APWA/CPWA since 1995 and been involved with the CPWA New Brunswick Branch and Atlantic Chapter in various positions which include Director, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Scholarship Committee Co-Chair. He served at the national level as a Director on the CPWA Board (2006-08) and as the National CPWA President (2008-10). Losier served as Region 1 Director from 2017 until 2022 when he was selected as President- Elect of APWA. He was formerly the Chairperson of the APWA Finance Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, a member of the APWA Foundation Committee, and the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion and has served 5 terms as Board Liaison to CPWA. Other committee involvement and support for APWA/CPWA include House of Delegates representative;
Government Affairs Committee; International Affairs Committee; Congress Program Review Committee; Council of Chapters delegate; and Council of Chapters Advocacy Committee. When he is not playing hockey in the winter or fishing or golfing in the summer, Gary enjoys  spending time and travelling with his wife of 37 years , Shalene, or bragging up the accomplishments of his four daughters, Casey, Taylor, Delaney, and Loryn. A graduate of the University of New Brunswick, he has degrees in both Civil Engineering (1984) and Business Administration (1986). In 1999, Losier received a Diploma in Public Management from Henson College, Dalhousie University. He obtained his Professional Engineer’s designation in 1989. The American Public Works Association (APWA) serves professionals in all aspects of public works. With a worldwide membership more than 30,000 strong, APWA includes not only personnel from local, county, state/province, and federal agencies, but also private sector personnel who supply products and services to those professionals. APWA has focused on supporting its members through advocacy, education and member engagement in the US and Canada to help them serve our communities.
