2023 Public Workshop

The TX-APWA Public Workshop is an annual educational and service program, geared towards operators and field staff.

When: February 6-8, 2023
Where: Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center, Georgetown, TX

Roadeo: February 7, 2023

President's Welcome

Please plan to participate in our Texas Chapter of American Public Works Association’s 2023 Public Workshop and Equipment Roadeo on February 6-8, 2023 at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center. The Sheraton is just a short drive away from the “most Beautiful Town Square in Texas,” where attendees will be able to visit during some social events one night, as well as take a tour of downtown Georgetown.

The theme this year is “Public Works in History” due to Georgetown having tons of history, including the story of the red poppy. Red poppy seeds were sent to the city by a soldier after World War I, and now they have grown wild across Georgetown. The City of Georgetown loves red poppies so much, they have a Red Poppy Festival in April 2023.

Join over 300 public works professionals and your peers as we unveil the newest equipment and technologies and bring you valuable education tracks focused on public works issues.on

What’s happening this year?

  • Professional Development, Focused training, Best Practices and Technical Tours
  • Exhibits with innovative technologies that can make your job easier
  • Welcome Reception with Exhibitors
